SpeedLine Solutions Inc. (“SpeedLine”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy applies to the SpeedLine MobilePay™ (formerly Pay & Pay@ the Door) app and governs data collection and usage. By using the SpeedLine MobilePay™ app, you (“you”, “your” or “user”) consent to the data practices described in this privacy policy.

Collection of Information

The SpeedLine MobilePay™ app collects the following information:

  • The user's Display Name from the SpeedLine point-of-sale software.
  • The paying customer’s credit card information.
  • Optionally, the paying customer’s email address.
  • The IP address used by the mobile device running the app.
  • Technical information about the mobile device running the app and usage of the app.

Use and Disclosure of Information

We use and disclose the above information as follows:

  • Credit card information is sent to our third party payment processor when the app connects to them to authorize a credit card sale.
  • The customer’s email address is downloaded to the SpeedLine point-of-sale software used by the restaurant so that a credit card receipt can be automatically emailed to the customer. Email addresses entered into the app for this purpose are not recorded in the SpeedLine point-of-sale database with the restaurant, so the customer will not receive unsolicited messages merely by entering their email address into the app.
  • Technical information is used by us for internal purposes to improve SpeedLine’s products and services, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, and statistical purposes.
  • As required or permitted by law.

Additionally, we may share or disclose your information in the following circumstances:

  • To our suppliers and service providers we engage to provide services to us (such as file storage, technical, infrastructure, platform, or applications services).
  • In the event that we decide to sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal information to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal information held by us will be one of the transferred assets.
  • In order to comply with legitimate governmental requests, subpoenas, court orders, or legal obligations, or in order to enforce or apply the terms and conditions of our app or other agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of SpeedLine, our customers or other parties. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Location Information

Our app uses location-based technologies, including real-time geographic location of your mobile device, and we may collect, use and disclose location information in connection with the app so that we may verify your location in order to help us and the restaurant to better serve you. You should consider the pros and cons involved in disclosing your location information to us and to other people. You can use your mobile device’s settings to set and change some settings and preferences for location information sharing and functions.

Retention of Personal Information

We retain your information for as long as necessary or relevant for the listed purposes in this privacy policy, or as required or permitted by law.

Age

We do not knowingly collect information from persons under the age of majority where you live; except, however, that minors may use our app with the authorization of a legal guardian.

Where We Store Your Information

SpeedLine is based in British Columbia, Canada.

The SpeedLine platform and the information it stores are hosted on our or our service provider’s servers located in the United States (and may be backed-up in other locations) and cached in the country of origin for users outside of the United States. Our payment processors and the restaurants using our app may be located worldwide. Your information may be processed and stored in the country where the restaurants, payment processors, or service providers as described in this policy are located.

Information may be subject to disclosure under the laws of jurisdictions where the information is stored or handled and it may be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities of those jurisdictions.

Security of Your Personal Information is Important to Us

SpeedLine takes commercially reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is kept safe from loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure, including technological safeguards like encryption, security software, and firewalls.

Except where we are required by law to disclose personal information, we will use contractual arrangements to protect personal information disclosed to third parties.

Restaurant’s Privacy Practices

The restaurant where the order is placed collects, uses and discloses personal information in accordance with its own practices. We assume no liability for the restaurant’s acts. If you have questions about the restaurant’s handling and storage of your personal information or their privacy policy, please contact the restaurant directly.

Changes to this Privacy policy

SpeedLine may occasionally update this privacy policy. We encourage you to periodically review this privacy policy to be informed of how we collect and use your information. The current version of this privacy policy will apply each time you utilize our app.
