Here's what happens when an order is placed by phone.
1.
Customer calls the store to place an order.
2.
Employee sees a call in the POS CallerID window, and taps it to answer.
3.
If the customer has ordered before, their record pops up in the POS.
4.
Employee enters the customer’s order and expected payment method.
5.
Order prints out in kitchen or appears on kitchen display.
6.
Food is prepared and provided to the front counter.
7.
Order is packaged, ready for delivery or pickup by the customer.
8.
For deliveries, the order is assigned to a driver, and the customer receives an email with the ETA.
9.
Or, for pickups, customer arrives to get food, and employee recalls and tenders the ticket.
