Fraud Activity for EMV Devices with Monetra

We have been advised of a new type of fraud being targeted on EMV devices which may impact Monetra users. The fraudulent charges happen with a mobile device payment in which an app is used to trick the EMV device to thinking it has gone into store and forward mode which allows the transaction to be approved without validation from the Card Issuers. Once the customer has left the EMV device will go back to normal operation, but the transaction will decline once it validates with the card issuer.
