Fraud Activity for EMV Devices with WorldPay and SpeedLine Payments

We have been advised by WorldPay of a new type of fraud being targeted on EMV devices used with WorldPay and SpeedLine Payments. The fraudulent charges happen with a mobile device payment in which an app is used to trick the EMV device to thinking it has gone into store and forward mode which allows the transaction to be approved without validation from the Card Issuers. Once the customer has left the EMV device will go back to normal operation, but the transaction will decline once it validates with the card issuer.

We are awaiting a new version of TriPOS software from WorldPay to remedy this fraudulent activity. Once available we will release a new version of SpeedLine with the update.

To remove this risk today, please disable "Store and Forward" in Store Manager.

To disable Store and Forward log into Store Manager and go to Settings then System then Card Processing. Select the Payrix/WorldPay tab and then TriPOS tab and uncheck the Enable Store and Forward.
