Monetra 8.8.0

November 5, 2018

Effective 11/05/2018

Monetra 8.8.0 has been released to the public and is a feature enhancement release.

This release is highly recommended for all users of Monetra and should be considered the most modern and stable release available.

Changelog

Database Schema: v4.7 (compatible with v4.0)

Security:

By default only TLSv1.2 is now allowed.

Features:

Support for the new Card on File framework by the card brands. This requires special indicators to be sent when a card is first stored on file, and also requires storing the returned transaction identifier for subsequent requests. See Integration Changes for more information.

Support for the new Visa online returns requirement on processors which have the capability. No protocol-level changes are required.

Signatures that are not already compressed with Class 4 (Fax) compression will be recompressed to save space.

Ability to output signatures (via getimages) request in PNG or PBM format which will convert the image on the fly from the native TIFF format.

Signature suppression flag now available for EMV due to new brand rules for UniTerm.

Standin capability flags for debit and online pin EMV transactions are now stored within the merchant configuration for UniTerm.

Certifications:

First Data CardNet and Nashville EDC added EMV certifications for:

Ingenico "Tetra" family

BBPos Chipper 2X BT

IDTech Augusta

IDTech Spectrum Pro

Tsys recertification

Heartland recertification

Integration Changes:

Card on File Framework protocol changes:

recurring: Possible values are recurring (or yes as an alias), installment, cardonfile. A special modifier of first should also be passed for the initial card storage, using a pipe as a separator. (e.g. cardonfile|first). If first is specified alone, it implies recurring for legacy compatibility.

cof_transid: Returned in the response of the initial (aka first) request. Must be passed back on subsequent requests.

cof_authamount: Returned in the response of the initial (aka first) request. Must be passed back on subsequent requests.

If using the DSS subsystem, or referencing a transaction by ttid, these protocol changes are handled automatically. However the initial request must still pass the first indicator. It is recommended to use the tokenize=yes feature to automatically generate a DSS token on first use rather than using admin=recurringadd.

Not all processors currently support the new card on file framework, support will be added as available.

getimages request now accepts the image_format key with possible values of TIFF (default), PNG, and PBM.

New merch_flag for adduser and edituser of EMVSUPPRESSSIG to suppress signature prompting in UniTerm.

New merch_flags for adduser and edituser of EMVPIN_STANDIN_ALLOWED and DEBIT_STANDIN_ALLOWED to allow standin processing of EMV Online PIN and Debit transactions in UniTerm.

Fixes:

When using MADMIN sub user that is tagged as unattended, it would improperly state the password was expired when using the auth-as functionality on a chkpwd request.

The Clear Uncaptured Transactions (cut) request should default to only transactions older than 30 days if no date range is specified to prevent accidental deletion of unintended transactions.
