PCI Compliance Notice Regarding SpeedWeb and Apache Server

Posted by SpeedLine Support on Mar 26, 2018 2:21:07 PM

As mentioned in a Support Advisory last month, in SpeedLine 7.2 R800 and later, SpeedWeb is no longer hosted by Apache Server, but instead by Microsoft IIS, which is automatically updated by Windows.

Today, March 26, 2018, Apache released version 2.4.33 of the Apache HTTP Server. This release is a security release.

Apache updates are no longer supported by SpeedLine. This means that SpeedWeb users who have not already upgraded to SpeedLine 7.2 R800 or later must upgrade SpeedLine within 30 days of this notice to maintain PCI compliance.  When you upgrade to SpeedLine 7.2 R800 or later, IIS-hosted SpeedWeb is installed, and Apache updates will no longer be required.
