WorldPay Update Removes MSD Contactless Payments

Written by SpeedLine Support | Apr 4, 2022 6:03:25 PM

WorldPay Datacap update removes support for MSD contactless payments for Ingenico iPP320 pin pads.

MSD Contactless Payments compatibility with the Ingenico iPP320 pin pads on the WorldPay Datacap platform will be removed with the upcoming update from WorldPay. This change will not affect contactless payments on the Worldpay Express or Monetra platforms.

This update coincides with the requirement from the card brands that only EMV Contactless Payments be supported. Locations accepting MSD contactless payments may face higher processing fees or fines starting in April 2022.

This update will be included in the upcoming SpeedLine 8 Release 12.

If you wish to keep the ability to accept contactless payments, you have the following options:

1. Change to the WorldPay Express platform and have your Ingenico iPP320 pin pads reinjected.
    • Fees apply. Turnaround time for the re-injection process is approximately 3 weeks.
2. Upgrade to the Ingenico Lane 3000 pin pad.
    • Advantages to upgrading to the Ingenico Lane 3000 include:
      • Faster transaction processing times
      • Supports EMV contactless and NFC payments
      • Optional 3-year advanced exchange warranty
      • Lane 3000 is designed to provide long-term encryption capabilities
      • Is P2PE certified when using Worldpay Express
