Microsoft is urging Windows users to immediately install an update after security researchers found a serious vulnerability in the operating system.
Dubbed "PrintNightmare," this vulnerability in the Windows Print Spooler (which normally allows multiple users to access a printer) can allow hackers to install programs, view and delete data, and even create new user accounts with full security rights on your computer.
The vulnerability affects all versions of Windows.
Today, July 7, 2021, Microsoft has released a security update for Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10, Version 1607. Microsoft recommends that you install this update immediately. See the Security Guide on the Microsoft website.
