Position Overview:

At SpeedLine, you’ll work with experienced, dedicated, fun people to create and support our innovative point of sale (POS) software products that help restaurant operators and chain executives across North America succeed. We're growing quickly and looking for talented people to join us in providing current and next generation POS solutions (built on the latest cloud technologies) that restaurant companies use to deliver millions of pizzas every week.

 

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for leading all sales staff to flourish while achieving or exceeding their revenue and profitably objectives including expanding the company’s customer base while retaining existing accounts and understanding market conditions.
  • In partnership with the sales team and the Sales & Marketing Director, develop, implement, report on and manage strategies focused on:
    • Revenue generation to achieve or exceed profitability goals, inspire customer loyalty and create brand awareness.
    • Ensuring SpeedLine is first at the table in securing new business.
    • Championing the company’s strategic direction with customers and partners through goals, performance metrics, programs, operating procedures and processes
  • Manage the After-Market Sales program including meeting set expectations and ensuring the program is of value.
  • Travel, on occasion as required, to represent the organization at trade shows, conferences and corporate offices to engage with partners, prospects and customers.
  • Stay current with the pizza industry through regular research (i.e. reading industry magazines, reviewing credible blogs). 
  • Effectively recruit, in partnership with the Sales & Marketing Director, all sales positions.
  • Ensure initial training, hands-on experience, new products and services updates and recursive training of all sales department members, to empower them to meet or exceed performance expectations.
  • Ensure sales team performance metrics are met through coaching, management of work assignments, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Create appropriate and accurate SpeedLine system configurations, quotes and proposals for prospect and customers' needs, including software, service and hardware options, as per process.
  • Review all deals for accuracy, content and value, while mentoring the Sales team to ensure they follow the established processes, demonstrate credible expertise on the prospects’ business and ensure they deliver value added insights into running a better business.
  • Manage service and discount exception requests per the established parameters.

 

Skills We Require:

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant business, sales, or marketing discipline.
  • Minimum three years B2B sales experience with a record of exceeding quota.
  • Minimum two years management experience, with multiple direct reports.
  • Experience in generating new business relationships through various means such as telephone and written communications, trade shows and conventions.
  • Experience working in an inside sales environment
  • Demonstrable selling abilities, communication and interpersonal skills with a variety of individuals at all levels including C-Suite.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching, team building, motivation, and the ability to identify, develop and deliver training as required as well as foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and projections, and ability to analyze results and recommend/initiate changes as needed, demonstrating excellent ability to write and implement processes.
  • Ability to understand complex technologies and interpret/communicate concepts to staff in a way that allows them to clearly communicate to prospective customers how our product would improve their business.
  • Proven track record to plan, manage and execute at both the strategic and operational levels and serve an interface for the organization.
  • Highly organized, proactive and energetic showing attention to detail, and proficient in balancing operational requirements with employee needs.
  • Excellent administrative, follow-up and project management skills.
  • Ability to develop and administer a departmental budget.
  • Detail oriented, multitasker with strong proofreading, editing, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Available to travel on occasion and work a flexible schedule.
  • Valid BC driver’s license and passport allowing travel to the United States.
