While my colleagues were kept busy talking with customers and prospective customers in the SpeedLine booth at Pizza Expo, my assignment was to roam the show collecting seminar notes, pictures, video, and free food samples (ok, I assigned myself that last one). After the show, I interviewed our booth staff. Read on for their impressions of what operators want in today’s POS systems.
Maybe it was coincidence, but the restaurant operators I visited with at Pizza Expo today were all talking marketing. The questions ran the gamut from how to start a loyalty program to the best ways to integrate online ordering to how to share guest information from their POS, email club, loyalty program, and online ordering database.
