| Set up Sales Forecasting
Follow the steps below to set up Sales Forecasting in Store Manager. In only a few minutes, you will be ready to view your sales figures.
- In Store Manager, click the Settings tab, and then click the System Setup group.
- Click Operations Planning

- On the General tab, select the Active check box.

- In the Day Parts area, click Add.
A new line appears. Day parts are usually the meal times for your restaurant.
- Enter a name in the first column (for example, lunch)and then click the Caption column to auto-fill it with the name.
- Click the Start Time column and use the Up arrow to enter the start of this meal time (for example, the time you start serving lunch), then click in the Peak columns and enter the start and end of your busy period for the meal.

- Repeat steps 4 to 6 to add your other meal times.
- When you are finished setting up your day parts, click the Forecast
tab. The settings in this tab control the figures that are displayed
in the Sales Forecast. You will leave most of them as is. For detailed
explanations of all settings, refer to the Set Up Forecasting
topic in Store Manager Help.
- In the Order Types to Display window, select the check boxes beside the order types you want to include in your forecast. The same order types are automatically selected in the Order Types to Forecast window.
- On the Store Manager menu, click Edit and then click Save Changes. Click OK when warned that changing settings will affect data. Setup is now complete!
