SpeedLine Ranks #1 in Segment for User Satisfaction in 2006 POS Scoreboard

SpeedLine earned the #1 ranking for User Satisfaction in its segment in Hospitality Technology’s 2006 POS Top 20. The top-ranked pizza point of sale company on the Scoreboard (moving up 5 places from 2005), SpeedLine earned the top combined score overall in its segment for the 9 questions in the POS user survey.

In 2004, Hospitality Technology magazine introduced the first in-depth independent survey of restaurant POS user satisfaction. In 2005, they expanded the survey to include a broader range of POS companies — including companies such as SpeedLine with specialized niche-market products.s

In the 2006 survey, published in the magazine’s July/August issue, SpeedLine scored in the top three in 8 of 9 categories, including #1 rankings in its segment
for User Satisfaction and Strategic Value.

As a specialized pizza POS provider, SpeedLine is something of an underdog in the Scoreboard, comparing company size, install base, and functionality with a number of huge hospitality (restaurant/hotel/casino) POS companies.

According to the magazine, “Companies that cater to the broadest range of restaurants fare better in the Scoreboard’s top 20 than companies that specialize in specific niche markets.” Nevertheless, the user satisfaction survey component of the study clearly highlights the company’s strengths:

  • Ranked #1 overall for POS companies with fewer than 20,000 installations for User Satisfaction -- which measures the total score for all 9 questions in the survey
  • Ranked #1 for Strategic value in the same segment
  • Ranked in the top three in 8 of 9 categories
